There are several things that can help you keep the price down when it comes to the wedding dress. But first think hard about what kind of dress you want. Are you very set on a certain model or don’t you know at all what kind of dress you want? Whatever is your answer, do look around for a dress in different magazines and stores. Don’t forget to try several dresses, if not for any other reason do it because it is so much fun ?. Also be open minded and try on that dress you believe is absolutely wrong for you. You might be surprised.

When you know what dress you want, here are a few suggestions how you can cut som corners:

• Rent a wedding dress. Let’s face it, why pay a fortune for something you use only once?
• Shop on the web. If you are lucky you can make a real bargain on e-bay or similar. Surf around. Sure, it might be difficult to get an exact fit, but usually it is not as expensive to have some alterations made as to buy a completely knew dress.
• Have someone you know make your dress. Do have any close friend or relative who is great at sewing? Or, if you are good at sewing, why not make your own dress?
• Keep a sharp lookout for sales.
• Consider buying a vintage wedding dress.
• Consider using your mother's (or some other relation) wedding dress.
